Islamika Extracts seeks to change that. This space is designed to democratize scholarly visibility, offering extended abstracts of research published or unpublished, in any language and across any discipline. Whether drawn from a thesis in Jakarta, a dissertation in Isfahan, a journal article in Islamabad, or a class paper in Sarajevo, each Extract distills key arguments and contributions into a citable, discoverable, and multilingual format. Our goal is not only to share summaries, but to circulate ideas across borders — linguistic, regional, and institutional. Extracts enable citation and engagement beyond the original publication contexts, and in many cases, if the authors agree to publish them as PrePrints, we assign a DOI to make this visibility academically actionable. Authors retain full rights while gaining access to a global network of scholars working across disciplines like theology, anthropology, law, media, and education. This isn’t a replacement for peer-reviewed publishing — it’s an augmentation: a lightweight layer of scholarly infrastructure that connects voices, communities, and insights across the fragmented terrain of Islamic Studies.
